Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. I was fortunate enough to be raised in one of the culinary rich parts of the world by a gourmet family. I travelled around Europe and learned the genuine food and wine culture when I was very young. That’s how my love for Epicureanism began, which eventually lead to my studies in college. I graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI with a degree on Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management with Sommelier Minor. During my culinary studies of chopping and sautéing I was bitten by the wine bug, since food and wine forms an inseparable marriage. After a winery internship, I graduated from university with a minor on Sommelier and decided to dedicate my career to my passion, wine. I hold the Advanced the certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and currently a candidate of the WSET Diploma in Wines. Today, I combine my culinary training and experience with my knowledge and passion for wine by sharing this knowledge and passion with others.
